Weekly Meeting Thursday November 8th

Our meeting this week will be on Thursday, November 8th from 10:55 – 11:50 AM in Mason Room 3132. HNTB will be presenting, and we’ll be serving Chick-fil-a. Please make sure to come to this meeting if possible! HNTB has been a consistent sponsor of Chi Epsilon, so we want show appreciation for their support.

About the presenter: HNTB is a national design consulting firm specializing in highway design, bridge design, aviation construction, and transit/rail. For more information, check out their website here.

Group Study Session

Starting this week (10/23) we’ll be holding group study sessions every Tuesday at 3 – 6 PM in Mason Room 2228. Stop by anytime during those hours to get work done with some other Chi Ep folks. We’ll be serving study snacks and refreshments!

Junior STEM Event

Chi Epsilon is presenting a civil engineering demonstration for Step Into STEM, an event that exposes K-12 underrepresented and minority students to the world of STEM. If you are interested in helping present the interactive demonstration to the students, please sign up below.

We  need presenters/demonstrators to volunteer on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018  from 10:00am to 12:00pm (arriving thirty minutes early to setup and staying for clean up afterwards). As a token of appreciation, all volunteers will receive a complimentary t-shirt as well as free lunch.

Our meeting this week will be on Thursday, October 18th from 10:55 – 11:50 AM in Mason Room 3132. CHA design/construction solutions will be presenting, and we’ll be serving pizza and refreshments.

About the presenter: CHA is an international, multi-disciplined engineering consultant. Their main services include civil (land development), construction, transportation engineering, bridge engineering, and water/wastewater management. CHA has several offices throughout the US and Canada, including one here in downtown Atlanta. For more information check out their website.
