Our meeting this week will be on Thursday, April 11th from 10:55 – 11:50 AM in Mason Room 2117. We will be holding officer elections, so be sure to attend to hear the candidates speak. In addition, we will be hosting Graduate Panel. A selection of graduate students from different CEE disciplines will be speaking about their graduate experiences and answering any questions you all have about furthering your education. Food and drink will be served as usual.
Initiation will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 6pm in the Mason lobby. Afterwards, the optional dinner will be at 7:30pm at TBD, and Chi Epsilon will buy all initiate’s dinner. We will be driving and/or taking ubers over to dinner.
Initiation is required by XE Nationals for you to be considered an official Chi Epsilon member, so if you cannot attend the initiation this semester, you must attend initiation next semester. If you cannot attend initiation, you MUST tell one of the XE officers ASAP.
After the initiation ceremony we will take a group picture of all the initiates together, so please wear business attire.
Did you know that the average person sends 4.4 pounds of waste each day to the landfill? Have you ever considered how this impacts our Earth? Well, the SGA Sustainability Committee is hosting the Get Wasteless challenge once again!
From April 15th through April 19th (leading up to GT Earth Day), compete with your friends to reduce the waste you produce! Whatever can’t be reused, composted, or recycled will go in a gallon-sized bag provided to you. Last year we had over 500 students participate and this year we are opening it up to faculty and staff as well! We expect over 700 people to sign up so make sure you sign up soon as spots are limited! The winning team will receive a $500 donation towards a charity of choice, with points awarded based upon participation throughout the week, and will be announced on stage during Earth Day.
Let’s #GetWasteLess! Sign-up by Monday, April 5th at: https://orgsync.com/130898/forms/357677
